Short-Term Disability Insurance - provided at no cost to you

ATOMIC provides Short-Term Disability Insurance through The Standard to help replace a portion of your income if a non-work-related illness or injury keeps you from working.

Benefit: 60% of your salary, up to $1,500 per week
Benefits Begin: 1st day for an accident; 8th day for an illness
Benefit Duration: Up to 26 weeks
Your Cost: $0. ATOMIC pays 100% of the premium
Coverage is available to full-time employees working 30 or more hours per week.

Important: Short-Term Disability applies to non-work-related injuries or illnesses. You are not eligible to receive Short-Term Disability benefits while receiving workers' compensation benefits.

Life & AD&D Insurance - provided at no cost to you

ATOMIC provides company-paid Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance through The Standard to help provide financial protection for you and your loved ones.

Benefit: 1x your annual salary, up to $50,000
AD&D Coverage: Included
Your Cost: $0. ATOMIC pays 100% of the premium
Coverage is available to full-time employees working 30 or more hours per week.

Filing a Short-Term Disability Claim

If you need to file a disability claim, the process involves ATOMIC, you, and your physician:

Contact HR first. ATOMIC completes the Employer's Statement and submits it to The Standard Benefit Administrators.
Complete your portion of the claim form. Your treating physician will also need to complete the Attending Physician's Statement.
